Parker, Mochi and I trekked across town to Los Feliz to visit my friend Jow and have some lunch at Viet, an organic Vietnamese restaurant in Atwater Village. She took me to Viet over a year ago after an early jaunt at the Pasadena Rose Bowl Flea Market. I have had a lot of Vietnamese food and this place is hands down the best. The last time I was there I was very pregnant and ordered the spicy sardine sandwich and the chicken pho. The pho's broth was so clear and very fragrant and the sardine sandwich was stuffed with shredded carrots, onion and what I think was jicama. Amazing. This time I only had the sandwich and sipped on a lovely penny wort and apple concoction. I should have brought an order of the pho to go. Delish!
