Entry No.57

It was gorgeous day in the bay area yesterday and my mother in law and I were going to take advantage from the reprieve of rainy days by visiting the Bay Area Discovery Museum with little "P". Oh how I wish we had one of these in LA. It's located in Covallo Point in Marin just on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge. The bridge is so close to the parking and feels massive looking at it from that angle. Covallo Point used to be an area dedicated to army barracks and the museum was built in the original abandoned buildings. The designers of this museum thought of everything when imaging what kids would enjoy. My favorite room is the Tots room that has round water beds covered in blue heavy vinyl mimicking a pond topped with water lilly pillows and are connected by a tunnel that feels as if you are under a waterfall. I think little "P's" favorite room is the train/boat room that features a real boat that rocks and grotto. Describing all the rooms would take up an entire screen so suffice to say that if you are in the bay and have kids YOU HAVE TO GO!

Little "P" playing with the bark in a garden area.

Little "P" playing with wooden xylophone located by the Tot's room.

The insane view of the Golden Gate Bridge from the parking lot! Truly awesome!

Little "P" hanging out with out with Grandma. The surrounding area of the museum is spectacular. Bye bye.
