Farming is the new cool, in my opinion. Going out to your back yard or patio to pick herbs for a stew or dig up your own heirloom potatoes is the ultimate indulgence. It is the most self reliant thing you can do as well. In a world where a lot of folks feel they have less and less in control over the environment and all the toxins our bodies take in, it's nice to know that with a little bit of space, dirt and sun light you can nourish yourself and those you love with wholesome home grown vegies. I am picking up this book tomorrow for a little inspiration. I hope to look as good as these guys while tending my own little fruit and vegetable garden.
